Level 2 Painting Class: 2-Color Distressing
Join Canice Blair of Canice Chic and learn all you need to know to obtain a layered paint look. In this informative 3-hour class, you will learn how to hand paint and distress a small piece of furniture or small home décor item using 2 or more colors thus transforming pieces of furniture and accessories into beautiful works of art. You will learn tips on applying chalk paint as well as antique, layering and distressing techniques. No prior sanding or priming required. Simply be sure that your piece is clean and dust free.
The cost for this class is $125 per person and includes:
- 3-hours of hands-on instruction
- all painting tools & supplies necessary
- hands-on experience with a wide array of available products
- light refreshments and a Divine goodie bag – all in a small class size!
Come learn all about Debi’s Design Diary DIY Chalk & Clay Paint and Heirloom Traditions Vintiques paints and finishing products, while painting your own small piece or one you purchase from Divine Details (there will be several pieces available priced at $25.00 or less IF you don’t bring your own). A small piece is one you can carry yourself, which would fit in the front seat of your car, perhaps a stool or small end table no larger than 30” by 30”. Remember, the more surfaces there are to paint, the longer it will take to paint & dry.
Wear your painting clothes but we also have flannel over shirts to wear!
If you do not finish your piece during class time you products are available at Divine Details where you can purchase the items you need to finish your project at home. Keep in mind, there will be adequate time allotted in class to finish smaller pieces.
